MY INTRODUCTION
I liked this one because this was the first time I tried to speak, write, and formulate my own sentences using a few things that I just learned. It helped that one of my latino friends read it and told me that It was really good for my first time doing this. It also gave me some confidence for this class because I have had some people say that it’s not a good idea to learn spanish especially in college. They all said that it’s too hard, but with this not only has it proven them wrong but it gave me a 100% on the assignment.
TRANSLATION
I chose this because it showed my growth and a strategy that’s very useful. I had to attempt it first just using common sense and use some of the words I already know. Then I looked up words that I didn’t know with their translation. I attempted the translation with the new words I learned. Then lastly, I did a direct translation to see how close I was. I found this experience fun and it showed me what I needed to work on so that I can read better and hopefully start to become more fluent.
RECIPE
I chose this because this is my most recent thing that I have done. It had me watch a video of different recipes from Spanish/Latin countries, pick one and find the recipe online. I then had to figure out the translations from english to spanish and record myself saying the recipe. It helped me not only with translation, but also with speaking the language. There are probably a few things that I miss pronouncing but it shows my growth in speaking.
